the New President

I am only representing my own opinion in this blog entry tonight....For those of you who decided to vote for McCain due to pro life issues or other issues, this letter is being written. The Body of Christ has been rallying in prayer for months for God to put His choice in office. We have fasted, prayed, sought the Lord, and cried out to God for our country. In 1Jn. 5:14 it says if we ask anything according to His will, we know He hears, and if we know He hears, then we know we have the petitions we have asked of Him. We have asked something according to His will. God has only good things in store for this country because it is full of people who love Him. He has a future for our country filled with hope and peace. Faith calls all those prayers answered. We can be assured that God has put the man in office that He has chosen because He says we can be assured when we ask according to His will. Of course it is His will to put His man in office and to give good  to our country. He has good in mind and Obama is the man for the job. It no longer matters what we have heard or thought, what matters is that we honor the man He has put into office and bless him. That means we keep all the gossip, slander and evil speaking about him out of our mouths and ears. It means we make a resolve to honor our President no matter what opinions we have heard or formed. This is a time to stand up and show our world what the gospel of Jesus looks like lived out in a child of God who didn't get their man into office.  The Word of God asks us to honor our President, uphold him, love him, pray for him, respect him, so that it will go well with us and we will have peace. (my paraphrase) So, I am writing you to encourage you to live what you believe and support what God is doing though you many not understand. Does it mean we back down on the issues dear to our heart like, the redefinition of marriage or abortion? No, we go to the throne in prayer and trust that our God is working His will out in our country's leaders. He is a good God and is in a good mood. And no, America does not deserve judgement. Judgement fell on the body of Jesus 2,000 years agoso that man, when fallen in sin, could run into Jesus' arms and be adopted back into the family of God. So stop thinking America deserves punishment and start expecting goodness, favor and blessing on our country. He loves us and that has never changed. It is the goodness of God that leads man to repentance. Don't be like Jonah in the Bible, but be encouraged because we are about to see the mightiest revival the world has ever seen and it starts with each one of us having revival in our hearts. I pray tonight Blessing abundant on Obama and his new administration as well as his family and pray protection over them as well as the wisdom and favor of God. In Jesus'Name, amen!
